As Regional Math Coordinator, my service-focus this year centers on supporting districts with:
· Implementation of their strategic plan developed at the Mathematics Leadership Institutes,
· PLC work focused on Mathematics,
· Use of best practices in Mathematics, formative assessments and transitioning to the WA revised Standards,
· Coordinating assistance for those aligning their Mathematics curriculum to the Standards,
· Assisting in the development of Common Assessments in Mathematics,
· Devising a Mathematics Coaching Network,
· Developing region-wide user groups for high-use curriculum in conjunction with OSPI’s Birds of a Feather (BOF) initiative.
